Our partners at Sidmouth Arboretum are seeking assistance with tree planting on Friday 21 March from 10:00 onwards.
The planting is part of a wider scheme led by East Devon District Council who are working with a community interest tree planting company called Parklife SW who are planting small blocks of woodland around the East Devon. Volunteers helped the same organisation when they planted trees at the Bowd two years ago.
600 young trees are due to be planted at the top of The Byes in Sidford, near the rugby and football pitches, Byes Close EX10 9PY on 21 March from 10:00.
Volunteers are welcome to spend a bit of time helping to increase local tree numbers whilst getting some fresh air and exercise. No particular skills are required and instructions will be given if you have not planted young trees before. Please wear strong footwear and clothing appropriate for the weather and bring a spade if you have one.
