Congratulations to Naabil Khan for becoming the first British student to win an international racial justice award. Naabil, a third year medical student at the University of Exeter, was awarded the Racial Justice in Medicine Award by the American Medical Student Association at a conference in Washington DC. The award recognises her work in supporting aspiring Medical students and tackling inequality in teaching materials.
Naabil is speaking during this year’s Sidmouth Science Festival 4-13 October and we very much look forward to meeting her and hearing about her important work.
Naabil’s talk on Historical Racism in Medicine is at 4:00PM on Monday 7th October 2024 in the Cellar Bar at Kennaway House in Sidmouth.
