Dr Martin Stevens, Research Fellow, University of Leeds will talk about ‘Work is about 70% good for my wellbeing,’ Exploring how wellbeing is affected by work for people with arthritis
Arthritis affects 10-11 million people in the UK and reduces the likelihood of being in work. However, the UK is experiencing an increase in the amount of people who are out of work for long periods (economic inactivity). Therefore, it is important to explore how work may be affecting wellbeing in people with arthritis to ensure that work is sustainable. In this talk Martin Stevens from the University of Leeds will present results from the Arthritis, Employment and Wellbeing (ARISE) study which aims to support improved wellbeing in work for people who have arthritis. He will also present a ‘bluffers guide’ to epidemiology.
