Saturday 15th October 2022 3:30PM – 3:30PM
Location/Venue: All Saints Church All Saints Road Sidmouth EX10 8ES

‘Here are the ways. We must find the will’. Tom Heap lays out the various ways we can combat climate change : spreading rock dust on fields, educating girls, enhancing photosynthesis, building with wood, cooling reactors with salt and even listening to Arnold Schwarzenegger!

In his recent BBC podcast and book, ‘39 Ways to Save the Planet‘ Tom shows that there are so many fascinating climate change solutions, some craving adoption others simply needing expansion and none of them demanding a punishing change of lifestyle. This is a talk that you will leave inspired and hopeful about how humankind can use ingenuity and imagination to avert the climate crisis.

Tom Heap is a broadcaster and writer specialising in the environment. He has been a regular presenter on ‘Countryfile’ and BBC Radio’s ‘Costing the Earth’ for more than a decade. He also hosts the ‘Weekly Climate Show’ on Sky News. Outside of work he likes to go biking, chop wood, grow chillies and watch movies.
