Philip Busby will give a talk entitled The Box that changed the world or All you need to know about shipping containers

How did a simple steel container revolutionise what we buy, where we buy it from and how much we pay for things? How did it change our economy and the jobs we do? Who invented the container and when? Why were they even needed? Find out who controls the world of container shipping today and why that’s important. What are some of the key risks for global Supply Chains and how do our new shopping habits impact the environment? We’ll take a look at where the box has taken us so far and where we’re (possibly) heading.
