Hands-on at the Parish Church

Saturday 15th October 2016 11:00AM – 4:00PM

Science Experiments for the whole family.

The Met Office return with some experiments that illustrate the way in which the rotation of the earth affects climate & weather. They may also bring their weather forecasting studio. Have a go at presenting the weather, get hands-on with some weather related science experiments and ask the experts your weather and climate questions.

From bugs to water beasties; the Quekett Microscopical Club display will show the complex structure of insects and the fascinating microscopic animals in our ponds. With microscopes and video screens these can look spectacular. Our younger visitors can use our small pocket microscopes and investigate all sorts of specimens.

Visit the Institute of Physics for some stimulating, engaging and interactive sessions.

Colin White’s sporting balls will be on display.

XRT-C Student Radio Telescope will show how it works!
