“The human dimension: How social and behavioural research can help address marine litter.” – Sohvi Nuojua from Plymouth University will be discussing their research.
Marine litter is a global environmental problem with items of debris now contaminating habitats from the poles to the equator, from the sea surface to the deep sea. This litter has negative consequences for wildlife, for economies and on human health. Over 700 species, including commercially important fish and shellfish, are known to encounter marine litter in the environment.
Venue: Kennaway House, Coburg Road, Sidmouth, EX10 8NG
The event is free but we would appreciate donations to cover the cost of organising it.
