Live streaming of telescopes from the Observatory

Wednesday 11th October 2023 7:30PM – 7:30PM
Location/Venue: Online or Norman Lockyer Observatory

Watch the night sky via the telescoped at the Norman Lockyer Observatory.

Join us at the NLO (or online) for a night of live streaming of the night sky (weather permitting!). Thanks to new technology installed at the Observatory, we can now wirelessly stream images from our 11 inch Schmidt Cassegrain Telescope to the lecture theatre. From here we can remotely control the telescope and view whatever is available in the night sky. Fancy viewing Jupiter or Saturn? or the Andromeda Nebula? then you can, from the comfort of our lecture theatre or from your own home.

We will be streaming live images over our Youtube channel. A link to which can be found on our website Normanlockyer.com. Once in Youtube you will need to click the Live tab.  Doors open to the Observatory at 7.30pm. Free entry, but with access to the lecture theatre only.
