The Schools’ Art Exhibition runs from Saturday 10th October 2026 to Saturday 17th October 2025. Open daily 10:00am – 4:00pm.
The Annual Schools’ Art Exhibition theme for 2026 is The Moon. Come along to see how children in the Sid Valley and East Devon have interpreted this year’s theme. Vote for your favourite. This year as previously eleven schools took part. Not all schools managed to get all classes to participate but we are pleased that so many were able. Early in the term of a new school year is a very busy time!

Payhembury Primary School Beech Class
Beautifully creative work with different textures and material. Very effective. Carefully worked with subtle colours and lots of detail.

Wonderful colourful piece, the backgrounds on each hexagon really lift the work. I enjoyed looking behind the doors.

I love the colourful moons with the stars hanging from them – the soft pastel background gives a lovely contrast to the moons.

This is such fun, lots of sparkle and texture within a general colour theme.
West Hill Primary School Year 3
There’s so much to see in this group piece. The children have observed detail really well.
Offwell Primary school Ash Class
A great fun filled piece- the children obviously had fun creating this piece, The gold & silver works well to give a piece a cohesive look.
Newton Poppleford Primary School
Year 1 I love the mark making in this group work. It creates a visually inspiring moon themed piece. Keeping to the grey theme is effective
Year 5 There is some careful observation shown here in this effective monotone piece. The shading on some of the moons show great skill in pencil work and observation.
Sidmouth Primary School.
Turtle class Year 1&2 This is so effective from a distance and showing the different phases of the moon is a lovely touch.
Year 4 The spacemen springing off the moons are very effective. The texture of the moons is a lovely touch.
Year 6 A lot of careful work is shown in this group piece , lovely textures and the 3D effect works well.
