A unique recital about our relationship with the sea, and about the ocean’s influence on our weather and climate.
Music by Ireland, Chausson, Elgar, Duparc, Rossini, Porter and Gershwin illustrates our emotional and artistic relationship with the seas, and will be performed by Pierrette Thomet, mezzo, and Prof Brian Golding, piano. The musical programme is complemented by a series of narratives on the relationship between weather and the oceans, presented by Prof Paul Hardaker, Chief Executive of the Institute of Physics.
The Parish church will be open for an art exhibition before the concert between 2pm – 5pm. Entry by donation to the church. No booking necessary for the exhibition during the day. See separate entry.
