The 2026 Sidmouth Science Festival takes place from Friday 9 October until Sunday 18 October, bringing ten days of discovery, creativity and fun for all ages. Now in its fifteenth year, the festival aims to spark curiosity, inspire learning and highlight how science, technology, engineering, the arts and maths shape our everyday lives.
With a mix of talks, activities, art, and hands-on experiments across Sidmouth, the festival offers something for everyone. Most events are drop-in with only a few requiring booking where capacity is particularly limited. Most events are free or low cost, ensuring science is accessible and enjoyable for all.
Donations from our visitors are increasingly important in helping us cover our costs. If you are able to make a contribution, however small, it will make a real difference and help us continue to offer such a varied programme of free events. You’ll find collection containers and card machines at our venues and you can donate throughout the year via our donations page.
So check out the programme and be part of an unforgettable celebration of science!
