From its scope and incidence, its effect on the individual, the particular issues of the Developing World / Resource-Poor settings, to prevention / treatment solutions.

Skin Disease varies all the way from acne to serious, life-threatening conditions,  results in anything from physical disability to the huge issue of stigma and ostracism, and in resource poor areas constitutes approx. half of all disease.

Paul will finish with a case-study which has consumed his spare time since 2011, that of co-founding an NGO in Ethiopia to help the 1.6 million with Podoconiosis (non-filarial, lower-leg elephantiasis).

Paul is founder of Action on Podo. He is a PhD Biologist, a Victor Mills Research Fellow with Proctor and Gamble, visiting Professor to the London College of Fashion, Chair of the Cosmetics Europe Trade Association Expert Team ‘Regulatory Aspect of Sunscreen Products’ and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and the Royal Society of Chemistry.
