The geology themed events offer a relaxed and engaging opportunity to explore rocks, fossils, and the stories they tell about our planet. With something for both children and adults, it’s a great way to learn more about the natural world in a hands-on and approachable setting.
Drop in to the Methodist Church Hall any time between 10:30am and 4:30pm – it’s free, family-friendly, and a rock-solid way to spend your Saturday!

Etches Collection Museum – Examine real fossils under a microscope, explore prehistoric creatures through an interactive iPad quiz.
Exmouth U3A – Explore Jurassic Coast geology through a selection of exhibits and rock samples.
EXEtinct – Get up close to amazing prehistoric animal props, including dinosaurs, and discover more about the creatures that once lived on Earth.
Geologists Association – Explore geological time, mass extinctions the origins of metals and a fascinating collection of geological specimens.
Josephine Collingwood – Explore a collection of Dartmoor rocks and minerals, along with specimens from around the world.
Lee Brown Paleo Art – Discover how paleoart brings prehistoric life to life, with original dinosaur artwork, prints and life-sized illustrations.
Lyme Regis Philpot Museum – Come and see and touch lots of fossils and replicas from Lyme Bay, including a life-size bust of Scelidosaurus.
