A full day of scientific fun around Sidmouth with lots to do for families of all ages as well as grown ups. For example come along to find out about Geology, Chemistry, Maths and Engineering and make things to take home. There’s much more but we are still finalising the details. Please put the date in your diary or calendar.
Events take place at Kennaway House, the Parish Church, the Sid Vale Association HQ and All Saints’ Church and Hall. Please remember to visit the Schools’ Art Exhibition and the University of Exeter’s fascinating Mycology Photograph Exhibition whilst in Kennaway House.
Some of the activities on offer: lots of hands-on and make and take, including kites, motors, projectiles, creepy crawlies, aeroplanes, bubbles, micrometeorites…….
Some of our exhibitors: Exeter Science Centre, Exeter Maths School, Exeter School, Met Office, Institute of Physics, Colyton Grammar, Sid Valley Radio, Kerrie Seymour Community Artist, Caroline Alliston STEM activities, Exeter Community Energy, University of Plymouth Invertebrate Zoo and a Juggler in the Market Place.
Collect your Dinosaur stamp card from Kennaway House, visit all 4 venues to collect a stamp and return it to Kennaway House to enter the prize draw.
Join in with the chemical elements town centre treasure hunt with a chance to win one of two £25 prizes. Collect an entry form from any festival venue or download a PDF copy of the entry form (182KB). Return the completed form to one of the venues and the winners will be drawn at Kennaway House at 4:15pm on Saturday 5 October. Entries close at 4:00pm.
