Over the last ten years, Vision Group member, Graham Cooper has produced a dozen books on related art and architectural design themes.
The books include Art and Nature: Healing, Project Japan, along with two more recent publications on music and colour. Applying his graphic skills the local author was recently shortlisted in the “Re-imagining Port Royal” architecture competition and has produced a booklet about the redevelopment of Eastern Town. As well as his Port Royal proposal he has been active on a number of local schemes including designs for a “therapeutic garden” and the Boat Park for the Hospital Comforts Fund and the Sidmouth Arboretum.
Timed to coincide with the Sidmouth Science Festival, the author will describe his experience of self-publishing and the background to his books, in particular Port Royal. Copies of all the books have been donated to the Sidmouth Library with more details found on his website www.grahamcooper.com
